  1. Congrats Gabby, USA! USA!..NBC thumbs down..omg..I counted 47 commercials in 45 minutes of watching the live stream..I am so sick of Chevy, Cover girl and Gillette..but besides that and missing some routines due to buffering..Aly and Gabby were fabulous! Congrats to Ailya and Komova! Although Komova's crying was getting to me..who should cry is Aly!Too bad she didn't leave in the double layout first pass! Make it up at FX finals..Congrats to all and Sweet Jesus yes! Martha is vindicated!..

    2. The best is yet to come for Aly. Each of the Olympic stars have had their moments: Kohei, Danell, and Jordyn (I know she isn't likely to get any individual medals, but lets be honest: she was the real deal when it came to that team final despite Gabby doing the all-around that night). All of them have bounced back from disappointment and has taken America by storm.

Gabby herself had her headcase moment on the floor in prelims. In fact, she had her share of crap moments last year too. And now she has dominated these games.

Aly has been solid up until beam today and unfortunately it was just a fluke at the wrong time.

And now it is Ms. Raisman's turn for redemption. Go and get it, Aly.

  2. I wonder if ads vary by cable/satellite provider (when you sign into the NBC site), because I haven't seen a single ad. People keep mentioning ads, and at first I thought they must be on some different streaming site, but no, it seems like it's the same nbcolympics site that I'm on. Color me confused? (I have DirecTV, so used that password to sign in.)

    1. From what I've gathered off the BBC site, those are the pics on their credentials/passes.

    2. My goodness, these are HORRIBLE! They somehow made Ryan Lochte look homely. And look what they did to Michael Phelps (and the other swimmers) here: http://www.london2012.com/swimming/athletes/initial=P/index.html

Every.single.one. looks like a mugshot. Say what you will about NBC, but at least they used decent pictures of most of the athletes: http://www.nbcolympics.com/team-usa/athletes/index.html

  4. Hahaha. I credit Chow, his wife, and Gabby for Gabby's win! There is something to be said for Chow. Shawn didn't have a major mistake her entire Olympics, and now neither has Gabby so far. And neither of them had a major injury leading up to their Games. Chow's coaching is truly something amazing. Right now he seems like a perfect choice for National Team Coordinator when (or IF, haha) Martha eventually retires.

  5. Here are my thoughts on this competition:

    1. Kudos to gabby she deserved that medal but bigger kudos to chow. His business will boom because of this. Dare i say that his gym could be number one in the country.

    2. If you are shawn johnson what must you be thinking right now?

    3. Gabby has completely stolen nastias thunder. Ithink this experience will humble gabby. Unlike nastia Gabby i think realizes her journey is coming to an end. No need hog the spotlight like nastia does.

    1. I hope Gabby's journey is just getting started. I hope she continues to train with Chow after London, but I'm guessing she'll head home to her family.

    2. If she does i could see her staying for another year but i csnt see her having the same drive.

Also next year will be Katelyn ohashi time and return of woga.

    3. WOGA needs a coach that can teach vault

    4. Chow has some fantastic juniors. Norah Flatly is awesome. Her beam has the steadiness of Shawn, but with beautiful leaps & flexibility!!! Alexa & Rachel are fantastic beam workers also. I think Alexa might have the highest leaps, i'v ever seen on beam.

    5. Gabby already said she is staying in Iwoa! She plans on staying with Chow. Which is scary for the rest of the world. She can get better. Think of what more time with Chow, will do for her. Her bars can get better. What if she actually had good floor chero. Will she what happens after all the appearances. The USA junior team is so deep & strong. I don't think any senior athlete, can afford to take more than a year off, two at the absolute most.
