i'm with damnit, i'm a gymnastics fan, and i hate figure skating, and i'm sure there are figure skating fans that hate gymnastics, but everyone keeps telling us that we have to like both.
It isn't difficult to only watch the gymnastics videos if you're so hellbent on avoiding skating, idiots. And I don't know why you read AJ if you can't deal with it, he's always covered both.
'Like he's gonna stop just cause some anonymous random twit named "damnit" growled at him.'
I don't think AJ is going to stop mixing figure skating and gymnastics even if thousands twits here vent their annoyance about it. It's probably the age thing.
Jesus christ, are you all seriously bitching about Aunt Joyce's blogging style? You should be thanking him for posting so frequently instead of whining that everything's not your way. You could also stand to be a little more open-minded--I got into AJ solely for the skating coverage and now I'm also a gymnastics fan.
If you have a problem with the blog then don't read it... I for one love this blog! I haven't been following skating as much as I used to so I'm glad I have this blog to keep me up to date until the time comes when I have time to start watching skating. I definitely keep up with gymnastics though and I love this blog's reviews of competitions and extra videos!
I also do ballet so the fact that this blog combines gymnastics, figure skating, and often dance makes it seem as though this blog was written for me!
Not a fan of Carly's gymnastics, but that beam routine--esp. considering where and when it was--was badass. Katia Gordeeva was a such a cutie back then, but of course the weird, creepy comments by the commentators were uncalled for. Katia was like the Aurelia Dobre of figure skating, getting the middle-aged commentators all hot and bothered. Did Al Trautwig work for ABC during the 1988 Winter Games?
Love that Yuka Sato program(so much better than Hat Full of Stars). I could watch her skate all day. She's just so smooth! I wonder who choreographed that particular program.
What? You´ve forgotten Michelle?
ReplyDeleteBut you included Johnny. That´s good since "Ave Maria" still is one of my favorite ex´s of him too.
Oh,there he is. Hi, Dave.
I just can't get enough of Sveta.

Yes, AJ is so immature for blogging about what he wants to blog about.

ReplyDeleteHey y'all, if you don't like this blog, don't read it. Go get your own dang blog and leave this one alone. Kisses to you, Auntie dear!

ReplyDeleteThat was Dick Button commentating, wasn't it? I doubt if he was getting hot and bothered over young Katia.
ReplyDeleteLove this blog and everything about it!!!! Thanks for posting things I would probably never put together on my own. And I love the commentary.

ReplyDeleteThat is a LeeAnn Miller program.
ReplyDeleteNobody will ever beat Katia and Sergei for me. The unison was out of this world. and the joy. everything looked effortless.
ReplyDeleteLove Yuka! One thing I always loved about her skating was her feet. Lots of footwork throughout the program...I miss that!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting!
And for those bitching about skating vs gymnastics...seriously? Get a life.
