Mother Russia at Worlds

Ksenia Afanasyeva misses floor finals by landing short.  Sadness.

The Russians had a somewhat solid performance despite a shaky day by Anna Dementyeva.  If Anna can redeem herself and Ksenia Afanasyeva can hit floor, the Russians may very well retain their title in team finals.

    Komova's ability to do the Memmel turn so perfectly is impressive and her presentation is pretty outstanding, but her second pass is Lame, with a capital L.

    @ Doug: Please, explain how a sky-high D skill with perfect form and ZERO deductions is lame.
    In fact, I wish more people were performing it like this.
