Please help my ignorance; What's upgraded about it? is it just the leap at the end and the back full? haven't we seen the Patterson (stood up) and the arabian combo (though not from gainer)... anything else?
Don't get me wrong I think she is amazing! just curious as to the actual upgrades
Not to be all Debbie Downer, because this was just a little competition and it's good to test out new skills, but I think this routine is a little too hard for her. That first leap is weak. Also, on her full, she's practically doing another arabian + a very late half twist, hence the underrotation and fall. She needs to improve her technique on an element like this if it's to have any sort of consistency.
Great comments... :) I have concerns about her getting credited with the first leap (she's definitely a 1/4 underrotated) and that horrible back 1/1. The gainer-stepout-arabian is BEASTLY, though. Sick ass combo.
I'd love to see RUS capture a BB title again... it's been 14 years since they won that event (Kochetkova).
Anon go watch her youth olympic games beam routine and compare it to this one, it's a completely different routine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLSUmSzOXY8
I'm pretty sure this is not a recent routine - might even be about 2 years old. It's definitely an old version of her choreography and she looks very small (not that she is that tall nowadays anyway).
Yeah, I don't think this a new video. Komova is extremely impressive though. I'm not sure the bhs-loso-arabian combo will ever be solid enough to compete consistently, but I definitely see her adding in the switch ring and the arabian dismount. If I'm not mistaken, those 2 upgrades would add .6 to her D score.
Um. Damn...
ReplyDeleteThis would be a 7.1 with all things credited.

ReplyDeleteone of the most boring and least artistic routines I have seen in a long time. Thank god for tricks.
ReplyDeleteThis video is from like 2 years ago...
ReplyDeleteShe appears to look smaller. Probably is older, just a random upload perhaps, there's no date on it other than when it was uploaded.

ReplyDeleteOkay, this one's my fault. When I sent it to him, I saw that it was uploaded yesterday, so I assumed it was new, which was stupid of me.

ReplyDeleteLMFAO don't pretend you wouldn't shit your pants if this was Weiber's routine.
