Sloan finally nailed a bar routine.

Kytra was ridiculously on as always.

  2. The commentors kept saying that Bridget hit the same release move that she fell on last week, but didn't she used to pike it?

    1. Yes. In pre-season and the first couple of meets, it was piked. Obviously she went with a version that is easier to catch and that she can still do while being more out of shape. Not saying she's fat at all, but she is not as fit as she was in pre-season.

  3. Sloan needs to drop 3 to 5 pounds. Everything looks a little slow, sluggish and labored.

  4. Really, 8:47, you're going to go there? I think gymnastics could do without the weight obsession. Besides, she's been out of elite for like 6 months, I'm sure her metabolism is still adjusting. She'll likely figure out a good balance for herself--a healthy one.

    1. Yeah, they need to go there. Sloan has put on weight since she got to UF (she is a freshman... we know that happens to every single elite). If she wants to be competitive this year (BIG "if"), she has to lose weight.

  5. I notice that she's flexing her feet on her Tkatchev. I remember that she did that a lot as an elite, but hadn't she finally corrected that?

    1. Interesting... probably stems from the fact that she flexed her feet on the piked version to regrasp. But, old habits.

  6. i have always loved bridget sloan, but it is just pathetic that she was able to be a world champion yet never learned how to do a bail with her legs together!
