Junior Women's Prelims
Quick Hits (Warm Up)
Quick Hits (Competition)
Notes: Ohashi struggled with her DTY again in warm ups. She also missed it in podium training. With an ankle injury and a growth spurt lingering, one has to believe this may be an up and down meet for the reigning champion.
Videos will be posted after the jump when available.

Why was Ballie Key's bar score so low? Looked extremely clean to me. Do not understand the low 8 execution score???
ReplyDeleteWOW, Biles almost seems to open up and finish that vault early. I don't think anyone's rotated it any better, except for Nabieva's overrotated, yet extremely ugly version at the 2009 Japan Cup.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous @ 1:18pm: Though Aly Raisman SHOULD envy Key's toe point, her pirouettes were not finished in a handstand. She sometimes bends her arms going into her cast handstands after her kip. There are form problems in the dismount. Judges could take off for her tap between the bars.
ReplyDeleteYou should also notice that the execution score for most of the bar routines were low. Despite scoring a 14.350, Ohashi had a 8.150 execution score.
