We were thrilled to speak with Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford as they aim for the podium at the upcoming 2013 World Figure Skating Championships.

  1. awesome to get Duhamel & Radford. Wish it could be longer but at this point in season (& in a pre-Olympic year) I'm not surprised.

  2. I don't know what is wrong with me! I am just not into this pair. Their skating does nothing for me. I like the fact that they do the technically difficult jumps and throws, but I just don't feel a thing.

    1. I don't find it so much a fault of Duhamel/Radford as I find it the entire pairs discipline in general right now. They took the IJS switch the worst out of any event. I feel like all pairs teams look like deer in the headlights on the ice now waiting for at least one of the elements to go wrong because they have so much more that has to go right.

    2. I agree with Anon 2:57. Those lift positions are just so hideous now. And outside edge death spirals are never pretty.

  3. Great interview Meghan and Eric. Courtney Hicks of USA reminds me a bit of her and I think she'd be great at pairs too.
Loved Meg's answer about why she went into pairs. Nice to hear input on the upcoming Team events.

  5. surprisingly! It’s like you understand my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some images to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is wonderful blog. A good read. I’ll certainly be back.
