This and That - Uschi style

Hello friends. U.K. here filling in for AJ this week while he is away being a glutton on a cruise. That bastard.

Ms. Not Impressed is loving instagram and we are loving it back.

Sasha Cohen cleavage in training.

Not Impressed x3

I can fly without this swing, thank you very much.

McKayla also posted a picture of herself without makeup! OH MY GAAAWD!

If you need a good nap, just start this interview with Kyla Ross at gymnastike.org. She may keep her eligib..eligi..eligb..zzzzzz

If that didn't work for all the insomniacs of the world, do not fret. Read a chapter out of Shawn Johnson's book and get all the juicy details about her first crush, favorite beanie babies, and her mother's oatmeal recipe. Out June 2012 (oh shit, that was two months ago already).

Interview with Aliya Mustafina on Russian television. This fantastic bitch looks more bedazzled with each mention of her Olympic medals:

What do Marcel Nguyen, Gabby Douglas, and Jordyn Wieber all have in common? Matching leotards?  Only in private. But in fact, they all saw an exponential rise in their Facebook friend count after the Olympics according to this NPR article. They are essentially the homecoming court of the gymnastics world!

John Geddert's final Olympics blog that doesn't fail to be entirely self-serving. Before the floor final, he thanks his pupil for a job well done, thinking it might be the last time Jordyn ever competes. To that he says:

"I have added many lines to many personal resume that would have never been possible were it not for you."

Ah-ha. Wieber truly was his puppet.

In skating news, Evan Lysacek said he is 1,000 percent sure about Sochi. Thank goodness it's not ONLY 100 percent. That would be lazy.

Video of Hanyu's new short program with a quad toe in spotlights. Holy shades of Lang/Tchernyshev with their music choice.

Do you have a coworker who unrightfully gets angry at you all the time? Don't fear. Jamie Sale is here with advice to pull you through (second question on the list). She only asks for a bar of deodorant in return.

The international Misha Ge. And here's Misha dancing in a desert. Next time, he will be dancing in the bathroom stall.

A Montreal skater hopes to represent Haiti at the 2014 Olympics. Love the knee shakes on the footwork!

Tatiana Totmianina, Irina Slutskaya, Sarah Hughes, and Alexei Yagudin at Sochi Park during the London Olympics. Slutskaya, Hughes and Yagudin are set to compete in the Japan Open pro-am competition in October.

    1. Oh please, she is dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt half the time. Even the "Sasha Cohen cleavage" shirt is not very revealing; plus she's like an A cup so there's not much to reveal lol.

  5. Shawn will be paired with Derek Hough in DWTS all stars. I am interested to hear how does AJ feel.

  6. @anon 11.25pm Maybe because you had big hooters and Macko has the chest of a 14 year old Swedish boy.

    2. I haven't seem too many 14-year-old boys with chests like that. She seems to be a very well developed girl to me. She is a bit flirty and knows she has it.

  8. "Sasha Cohen cleavage in training." Bet she'll be in NY too and will join the gang. I was so surprised when I found out her age. She seems so much older.

  10. Doesn't Yagudin have an artificial hip or something?

I love his skating but I'm concerned that he's pushing himself too hard by going into a pro am, and might end up permanently crippled or something by the time he's 50.

  11. Rudy Galindo had both hips replaced years ago and skated just fine after rehab for several seasons. It it possible with proper maintenance. Knees are another issue.

  12. Whoa, my friend's Dad had a hip replacement recently - he's never done elite sports and was told it had a shelf life of about 30 years. How are these elite skaters going to manage in later life?

    1. Get them replaced again? If you're in great shape, the recovery time is not bad even if you're older.

  13. Exactly. It's an almost routine procedure now. Plus in 30 yrs, the methods of treatment will have significantly advanced.
