This and That

Virtue and Moir officially withdrew from Canadian Nationals.  They haven't had enough time to perfect their programs, but are hoping to compete in top form at Four Continents and Worlds.

Samantha Cesario is out of Nationals and off the ice for 6-8 weeks with fractured vertebrae.

Universal Sports caught up with the Persian Prince on skype as he prepares for Nationals.

The uproariously funny Ricky Gervais hosted the Golden Globes last night.  He is definitely in the love him or hate him category.

The infamous Allison Taylor competed fabulously at Southern Utah.

John Orozco is on the comeback trail and will be returning on a few events in March.

Kayla Williams warming up bars at the CGA Coaches Spectacular.  She finished second all-around behind Cassie Whitcomb.

Ameilia Racea is back in the gym looking good after not competing in the World Championships.

  1. Is it just me or does Kayla look enormous? Hard to tell from the side.

  5. It seems like Kayla's really labouring through that routine....

  6. Good thing for Kayla that after this JO season, she will not have to train bars again. No way Bama will use her on that event, and frankly she could use the extra time to condition and work on her leaps/flexibility. I'm interested to see how her other events have progressed being at CGA.

  7. That leo does absolutely NO favors for Kayla. Hopefully she'll use this time getting ready for Bama.

  8. Woah. Kayla is huge!!!! She's almost unrecognizable. Though, her bars actually looks better now than it did in 2009... I guess that says something about MLT. Too bad she doesn't have K on the Jaycee Phelps diet circa 1996.

  9. Jaycie is naturally thin. Bad example A better example would be someone like Alyssa Beckerman, who she drilled an elite body out of. MLT doesn't work with the level 10s in her gym.

  10. Poor Allison Taylor gets to compete one routine every two years... There's no way she's going to stay on.
