A Moment To Remember
After a good finish at the Goodwill Games, the inconsistent Sasha Cohen stayed on the upswing with a convincing victory at the Finlandia Trophy. She opened the most frunt-loaded program in history with a quad salchow attempt, but did not allow the rest of the program to escape her as she would at Skate America. This win resulted in message board mayhem when the emotional Nikodinov fans began to realize the writing was on the wall. For whatever reason, the Skate Gods chose Hughes and her Olympic berth was all but inevitable. Kwan was the reigning world champ. It was Sasha vs. Angela and this time, it was 1-0 for the bitches!

gutsy quad attempt, but compared to Salt Lake much of the chreo looked improvised (but still fabulous) and the level of interpretation wasn't really there. I am always stunned at how high little Sasha's jumps were then.
