  2. Coach, schmoach. Will Karen be her choreographer now?

  3. Kwan is my favorite but I was hoping Yu na would go somewhere else. I don't think it's always smart to mix friendship and business. Plus there's better coaches than Peter. I wouldn't want Kwan to go to him either.

  4. What's creepy about him? Honestly, Yu-Na's jump technique doesn't need much work and she's been through just about everything. I don't think she exactly needs the best coach ever here.

  5. Thank God she still has Wilson.

I really cannot wait for Worlds.

  6. oh god. in the slideshow of pictures from their press training session, I literally shuddered at the picture of him adjusting her foot. from the image, my mind jumped to flip take off, which could be bulls**t obviously haha. but just DONT SCREW UP HER JUMPS CREEPY NEW GUY.

  7. I don't think she'll ever compete as an amateur again so it doesn't really matter who she picks as a coach. But Brian to Peter... Still a huge downgrade.

  8. I think this pretty much verifies that she is not looking at competing seriously. Otherwise she would have picked a much more intimidating coach.

  9. I don't think Peter is creepy. He's yummy. But Yu Na is borderline stalking Michelle. Idolizing a person is one thing. So is inviting them for your shows. But now she's moved on to the rink and brother-in-law. That's creepy!

  10. Paisley, chief, that's what mature folk call networking.

  11. I love this site, hehe. Saying Oppegard is "yummy" isn't creepy but networking is stalkery...? :D I don't see anything or anyone who is creepy in all of this.

  12. People, some of you say weird things. There's absolutely nothing "creepy" or "stalkerish" about Yu-Na picking a respectable coach that just happens to be Kwan's relative. Now, if she picked Danny Kwan to be her coach, THAT would be weird, but Oppegard had real credentials before he even KNEW Michelle. Yu-Na being able to ask Michelle for help in picking a coach is a GOOD thing. Besides, Yu-Na has worked with Oppegard at a camp when she was younger, so it's not like she had no idea who he was.

  13. I don't wanna say that, but Orser didn't have coaching experience before coach Yuna. So, it's not downgrade. ;) I think Yuna is a discerning person for finding a coach.

  14. Peter apparently first met Yu-Na in a summer training clinic a decade ago.
