  2. What's the story on Sarah's foot - is it broken? When and how did that happen?

  3. Bross' beam was removed. Do you have another link?

  5. Thanks to all for assembling, recording, sharing, etc! I was sad that NBC chose to completely ignore Dowell and Baker, especially considering the overall number of competitors. One vault or bar set would be under a minute of air time, faster than the painful third recap of Nastia's bars.

Irrelevant observation: Maroney's beam is pretty darned decent. If she sticks around another couple of years, she could be a serious all-arounder.

  6. I truly hope that Ross, Maroney, and Douglas hang around for a full additional quad. I guess that means I don't want them to have too much success in London....... No motivation to continue. They need a Shannon Barcelona experience.... close but not quite....

  7. I was not happy when NBC kept showing the girls...aka the "a" group standing around, whispering to each other when they could have showed the other girls.

I am not up on start values and such, but it seems some of those other girls have better lines and straight knees and stuck together feet on bars....better than Ali Raisman. What gives?

    1. That's how they've always done the Olympics. Gotta watch the "in group" pick their noses while gymnasts from other countries compete - even if those gymnasts win medals, and some members of the chosen few fall on their asses.

  8. When you say bross' farewell on balance beam.... How do you know that she is done with gymnastics and that she won't come back? I know that everyone is saying nastia has done her farewell and she said it. Bross never said that she was done so why is everyone jumping to conclusions?

    1. i think it's just people's assumption... this whole year she just looks like she hates gymnastics and is hurting...

  9. I love Sabrina Vega on floor. Her music is fantastic and her choreo's pretty good compared to a lot of the other US girls. I wish she'd had a better trials.

  10. Why is there so much hatred out there for McKayla??
I think her beam is decent, her floor could be very good if they fix the third pass and, of course, her vault is phenomenal.
And at least she has a PERSONALITY and attitude! Jordan and Aly are so boring that I have a hard time telling them apart and kept forgetting who won at Worlds... Hard for me to get excited about either of them.

    1. I almost can't tell Maroney and Ross apart - and I dislike both equally.
They both seem kind of smug, as if they knew their places were assured.

  11. I hope Bross sticks around. I love her...if she gets healthy and some rest, I believe she could win Worlds next year.

  12. Sabrina Vega is such a beautiful gymnast and has served the USA well as a consistent performer. Granted, her routines aren't the most difficult, but she has beautiful lines, choreography, and expression - much better than the robotic Jordyn/Kyla/Ali. I'm heartbroken for her that she didn't make the team. The Trials seemed like a really off performance for her ...

P.S. Her coach always looks like he's about to explode. Scary.
