We will never. ever. EVER. be rid of Shawn Johnson or Bristol Palin.

The roster:

Bristol Palin
Pamela Anderson
Melissa Rycroft
Kelly Monaco
Shawn Johnson
Kirstie Alley
Joey Fatone
Helio Contraneves
Drew Lachey
Emmitt Smith
Apolo Ohno
Gilles Marini

It looks like it will be a bit tougher for Shawn to pull off this time, but she will still last for several weeks.

  1. Wow the men are STACKED for this. Shawn will probably be the last woman standing and still not make it near the final.

Which is fine with me as she has been working my last nerve for years now.

I still want Nastia to do it. Or maybe they'll get one of the men next season if they do well enough.

I'll still watch. I loved Apolo, Gilles and Drew.

Hopefully I don't have to listen to her babble about how she's the baby of the cast when Bristol is like 4 days older. That is my least favorite Shawnbot speech.

    1. Actually shawn is two years younger than bristol.

I wonder which one gets Ballas.

    2. I think Bristol gets Mark and Shawn gets the hobbit from the troupe who's always doing backflips.

People are theorizing MBT winners are getting new partners and those who came up short get their original partners...it works out decently w/ the cast list and available pros.

...Minus Pamela, who will obviously not be getting poor Damian

  2. The term "media whore" should be used to describe somebody tries to seek the attention which he/she should not deserve.

Shawn was contestant and champion of DWTS season 8. There is no any problem that she return to All-Stars. Just like Apolo Ohno does. They are both the Olympians with high publicity. Also the cast announcement is before the gymnastics competition and the season starts after a month of Olympics. I don't see how she steal the spotlight from the girls in team.

Comparing that somebody announce the comback 8 months before the Olympics and also during the World Championships, then fell in a mess in the trials to obtain attention. I think someboy fit the definition of media whore by far.

    1. No, Shawn is a media whore. One of the biggest there is. She says one thing and does another, she's fake. Go read her examiner interview by Blythe where she says she thought she was just going to fade away and go to college, puh-lease.

She's been positioning herself for as much attention as possible. That's why she lied that she was still training, meanwhile she was planning a book tour.

This is the girl that said she missed the paparazzi when she moved back to Iowa.

    2. For me, the definition of "fake" is being a beard for a male figure skater so you can bask in the glow of his Olympic success.

    3. Oh please, that's called being 19 and sheltered. He was at Olympic trials to support her. They're friends. And he gained quite a bit more basking in the glow of her heterosexuality, frankly.

Hopefully she patches up the gaydar before she gets to NYU.

Well I think she qualifies by presenting herself as a legitimate contender for London when she wasn't training at ALL for MONTHS. To the point that her name appeared on the start list for Nationals until days before the competition began. And then all the stuff about her knee. And then her book.

Her PR team is very good and she's a very good puppet. Good for them and people who enjoy it.

    5. The Russian also presented herself as a "legitimate contender" for London, despite a woeful lack of training. Unfortunately, SHE wasted a Trials slot that should have gone to a gymnast who had actually PREPARED.

    6. Ugh will I never be able to criticize Shawn Johnson's tackyness without getting something about Nastia in return.

      But I'll still bite.

Liukin did not take anyone's trials slot. They number of qualifiers was open-ended. I don't understand why people keep saying this... if anything Martha took extra girls to justify taking Nastia after she bombed Nationals. Complain about it from that angle if you must.

And Martha herself said Nastia was a contender until she fell on night 2. (Although I love Nastia blindly and unconditionally and even I know that would have been ridiculous.)

    7. Mrs. Karolyi has to say something to defend her stupid decision, didn't she?

      Delete
    8. Martha allow Nastia to compete in the trials to steal other girls' spotlight despite she awful performance in Nationals. However, Chelsea even not approved to compete in Nationals with the similar situation in Classic.

    9. Martha allowed Nastia to compete in the Trials despite her awful performance at Nationals.

Chellsie was not approved to compete in Nationals despite her awful performance at Classics.

In completely unrelated news...Shawn Johnson is still a tacky famewhore.

    10. I just can say Nastia cannot even be qualified to Trials according to the perfomance of Nationals if USAG treat her justly as Chelsea. She still can compete in Trials becuase the politics and relation with Martha. The Nationals result have already reveal that there is no chance of 2nd Olympic for her. If she had any self-knowledge and shame, she would not go to Trials. However, falling in Trials is the best idea for her to boost the attention no matter how it steals other girls' spotlight they deserve more.

    11. It is the fact that Nastia very minds that Shawn get more publicity although she won the AA title over Shawn. Shawn got the mainstream media attention like Marylou did but Nastia did not.

I remember when Shawn was announced to be in DWTS in 2009, Nastia said she "declined the offer" becuase she wanted to focus on World Championships (All we know what the ending is). But this article revealed that Shawn's agent had the conversations with DWTS producers while being in Beijing.

Thats why Nastia tried all the means to boost her exposure and prove her existence such as winding around the skater guy Evan, being commentator in gymnastics competition, being the so called athlete representative of PIG (wrong spelling?), announcing comeback when the girls were competing in Tokyo, falling in the Trials, etc.

    12. To be fair nastia scored the absolute minmum to advance to trials, she averaged a 14 on each event.

  3. She had an entire knee reconstruction. It wasn't a "mere" ACL tear.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Anon 12:33 I thought she had to have TWO knee reconstructions, maybe not. And didn't she tear her hamstring also, or maybe not. Didn't her agent say it was a minor injury after it happened, maybe not. All I hear when Shawn is talking is bullshit bullshit bullshit

I just hope Shawn can push through her horrific injury that NO ONE has ever had to deal with to be able to pasodoble. It's not like she tore her achilles less than a year ago and was able to get back and compete at trials, no Shawn's injury was much much worse

  5. I've only ever watched two seasons of this show: when Apolo was on and when Shawn was on. I'm so excited they'll both be dancing again!! Do you know if they'll be with their same pro dancers or with someone new?? I totally want Apolo to win it all!!

"All-Star" cast should mean only past winners of the show compete to decide the ultimate winner, though. There are people in this cast who did not win DWTS! I don't get the point of having an all-star season then.

    1. Apolo likely won't, since Julianne is no longer with the show.

    2. I don't think winner takes all is good idea. Some past finalists who didn't win also have had epic performance like Gillies Marini and Joey Fatone. Also it can raise the Drama of revenge. It is just werid that why Bistrol Palin can be in.

  6. Oh geez. I hope she gets stuck with maks.

  7. I'd rather have Shawn Johnson over Bristol Palin. Palin is more of a media whore than Johnson is. At least Johnson has some kind of moral values. Palin needs to get out of the spotlight and focus on raising her brat. From what I hear, that boy is running around with no discipline while his mommy is too busy focusing on the camera.

    1. Bristol is trash. Shawn has worked hard for her achievements.

  8. OK everyone, over or under Shawn's knee being mentioned on the show 50 times? I'm going over, she'll mention it in every one of those fluff openings, when the judges are talking to her and when she's getting her scores

And why does everything have to be Shawn vs Nastia? Why can't they both be money hungry, attention seeking media whores? I think they both are, but Shawn fans are in complete denial.

She hides behind her smile and golly shucks geez you guys I'm totally super duper excited that I won the silver medal in the AA, I'm not disappointed AT ALL. I was so happy for Nastia and didn't shed a single tear, it was a complete and total honor to win the silver medal because those evil judges were obviously against my body type

  10. I'd rather see Shawn on every season of DWTS than see Nastia on it once. At least Shawn has a real smile rather than that fake one Nastia has. Nastia only tried to get onto the Olympic team again because her attempts to gain sponsors have been less successful than they would be if she had a better personality. She did successfully hog media attention from the real gymnasts right up to the point when she fell on her face. Fortunately, Matt Lauer will be on NBC with her in London for the entire Olympics to ask Nastia repeatedly how it felt to fall on her face in front of the world and miss her Olympic opportunity (handed to her on a silver platter personally by Marta) as a result.

    1. So I have the huge pity on A-Sac. She successfully made the comback in 2010 World but injured to ruin her floor routine in 2011. Despite the injury, she performed well in Trials but the attention she deserve was stolen by a Russian felling on face. She was even not seleted an alternate which many people think she should be.

      Delete
    2. Why do you keep calling Nastia The Russian in posts where the entire point is to insult her?

It adds an uncomfortable layer of hatefulness to your whining.

      Delete
    3. She is Russian ethnicly, and was born in Russia by Russian parents. Just holding the US id card and passport. Anything wrong?

      Delete
    4. She competed and won medals for the USA dumb-ass. And Shawn fans, delusional as always. The ending of Shawn's gymnastics career was solely to suck as much attention and sponsors towards her.

After Pan-Ams she had absolutely no intention to train for the Olympics but continued to lie through her smile and talk about her training when she was really off shooting commercials. How is that a 'real smile'?
