  2. I was kind of skeptical about Nastia before, but I have to say she looks great. Wow. My respect for her just went up a lot. I hope she does well this weekend!

  3. Y'know, I have never been a fan of Nastia (understatement), but damnit, she's really doing it isn't she? Good for her. She looks awesome. Beam is still a bit...rough....but those bars mang...

  4. Nastia didn't put anything together. Are you watching these videos?

  5. Liukin and Memmel are both only doing Beam at this event... They'll petition themselves for Visas... With that said, nothing prevented them from training in the other events.

  6. @Anonymous: While Nastia didn't do a full bar routine, she did go through all of the skills in her routine... There are several videos from PT showing Nastia doing the different skills separately. What's encouraging is that she HAS ALL of her skills back... It's only a matter of putting them together. The Ono-Healy-Ono 1 1/2 will be connected to her Laid Out Geinger... (0.6 CV)... She did a Tkatchev (rumor has it that she'll do an inbar stalder 1/1 + Tkacthev = 0.2 CV). Pak Salto... The only thing she didn't do is her dismount. If she does what she's capable of her potential SV on bars will be a 6.9. That's the highest SV of ALL americans... Of course, I know I'm getting way ahead of myself right now because she still needs to perform all of the skills together... But I'm liking what I'm seeing.

  7. As for Memmel... It's unfortunate that both she and Nastia are dealing with some shoulder problems... But if she does what's she capable of on UB (2008 routine) her potential SV is 6.4. Not bad!
