Czisny Reveals Hip Injury

Alissa Czisny revealed that she has a hip injury that she first felt at Yu-Na Kim's show.  Due to this injury, Czisny asked for the latest possible Grand Prix assignments and only received one.  It remains unknown whether the USFSA just wanted to give her one after her disastrous season.  There was a tremendous about of buzz about Czisny, her results, future and coaching situation at Governing Council.  If there was ever a skater who needed a few months off the ice, it is Alissa Czisny.  Perhaps this will help her get her head together enough to finish second at Nationals and continue our abusive relationship with her ever-shifting confidence.

Phil Hersh has the Czisny details.

More on the Czisny injury.  It is curious that she didn't feel it until after Worlds.  She certainly knows not to say anything Flatt did and risk a fine.

Czisny is hoping another assignment opens up if she is ready.  Would YOU give her two assignments?

  1. She is a beautiful skater, but she is so unpredictable. She is better off in exhibition shows.

  2. This hip injury is God's way of telling her to retire. She couldn't do a flip or a lutz with a good hip this season.

  3. I had this surgery. It's a lot harder to recover than they make it sound.

  4. We're not that gullible. Yuka Sato, Jason Dungjen, and Alissa Czisny knew about this injury for weeks leading up to Worlds. They learned from Flatt's mistake last year.

  5. This surgery will be likely difficult to recover from. I do think they learned from Flatt. If she was injured, they should've learned to pull out from the GPF debacle. They could always say she injured her hip in 2006 and it is the reason for everything since.

  6. Shouldn't she be reprimanded for competing on an injured hip?
As awful as she has looked, I wouldn't give her any assignments and have her rethink her skating future. How many chances is she supposed to get?

  7. I don't know why Yuka hasn't divorced Jason. They've clearly stopped wearing their marriage rings 6 months ago. What are they waiting for? Yuka better not be hoping Jason will change his ways. Honey, once a cheater, always a cheater.

  8. Anonymous, if you KNOW something for sure about his cheating, then put some more info here. Otherwise you just sound mad.

    1. I think "slanderous" is the word.

  9. My father also had her hip injury when he was hit by an accident. He had his hip operation with stryker hip implant but after the operation he felt more pain. Me and my family are now worried just in case we are part of the other patients who were filing for stryker hip replacement lawsuit.

  10. Thanks for the laugh, harsh but hilarious. Jason's a good looking guy, what woman wouldn't find him attractive?
