Voir's Return To Competition

  1. I loved it! It's interesting that Tessa seems to be taking a page from Meryl's book in terms of sassy/dramatic facial expressions.

  2. Meryl's facial expressions are soooo much more natural than what Tessa showed in this dance. The expressions were too OTT. And why does every one of V/M's programs have to contain moments where they're cheek-to-cheek and holding hands? The schmaltz needs to go!

  3. Tessa and Scott can suck it!

  4. They're looking pretty good for being out of competition for so long.

  5. Why is one of the judges giving Voir 5.50s and 5.25 on their PCS scores????? That must be a joke, right?? I realize that the lowest scores get cut, so it obviously didn't affect the score nor placement overall, but WHY???

  6. Must have been the French judge...

One beautiful lift, but so much of this felt to me like rehash. But yes, considering it's their first competition back since the Olympics, they are looking pretty good.

  7. They were fabulous. Their unison is unreal! They do the lovey-dovey stuff because that's their strength and what the judges expect of them... so sick of people hating on them for it. Besides, they're doing something different in the FD - samba is pretty much the opposite of Mahler!

If you find them boring, fine, but you can't deny their skill. ESPECIALLY since they've been out all season.

  8. I like their outfits more than their programmes. It just seems so...contrived.

  9. Hey Anonymous 11:28, they're the Olympic champions - why should they do what "the judges expect?" They should try going outside their box. They have nothing to lose. They already have the ultimate prize!

becauseofitall, I think you found the word I've been searching for to describe V/M's programs as of late - "contrived."

  10. Like I said, samba IS out of the box for them. Baby steps!

    It's all moot now anyway. :( :( :(
