A Windmill With Feathers

  1. When I saw 'windmill' in the title, at first I thought: Plushenko. Then I saw the vid. I quite forgot that Evgeni never dressed up as poultry...

    Lysacek = windmill
    Plushy = windmill+quad

  2. Plushy = windmill+quad-transitions..

    Lysacek got the gold. He didn't need the quad. Get over it.

  3. Oh yes, the burnt chicken program. Now, excuse me while I try and make myself forget that unfortunate moment of Olympic history.

  4. Choosing between Lysacek and PLushenko for Olympic Champion was like deciding whether you'd like to be oppressed by Hitler or Stalin.

  6. Maybe it's just the length of his legs making it awkward, but his change-of-foot in spins is so ugly.

  7. I could not watch it through. Too boring,and it´s still awkward.

  8. I liked that program a lot because Evan's arms always seemed birdlike to me. So this suited him perfectly. If you are going to spaz, might as well be a bird.

  9. Totally loving your commentary. I still am dismayed that such an unfortunate pedestrian skater (I *do* so like that tag!) was our OG, but he did stand up those two nights.

    I was always intrigued and amused by the turkey frills on Evan's shoulders. Did the Firebird get roasted for dinner after the program was over?

  10. Evan was a great competitor, but it still grates that he is the OGM. UGH.

    That costume was laughable, the program workmanlike, and the overall effect uninspiring and fake.

    Has Evan ever had an original thought?

    Had Plushy won, it would have been just as awful.

    No cause out of sight, out of mind.
    At least Plushy has jumps and is a showman.

  17. It's true if Plushenko had won he would have retired to Russia forever never be seen on American TV screens again!!! So it would have been total WIN!!!
