The Utter Brilliance of Uncle Dick

Terry Gannon: Can any of the [skaters here] match [Michelle, Sasha and Sarah]?

Peggy: Goes on and on and ON (she looks lovely in her costume) trying to be nice about the eyesore she is witnessing.

Dick: If you ask me, no!

Terry: Succinctly put.

This post is dedicated to the incomparable Margaret Thatcher. Kudos to Peggy Fleming for trying to pretend that skating is a legitimate sport when those 5.9s came up.

  1. Margaret Thatcher was very happy Slutskaya did not show up in DC at Worlds that year. I did not want to be ill anytime during the ladies event or blinded by that hair color.

  3. I just don't see how they decided that this was good (figure)skating.

  4. She seems so... labored in between jumps. Actually, some of the jumps look labored also...

  5. I don't like the attitude that jumps are passe and the only thing that matters is artistry or something.

  6. Jumps matter but Irina's tech/style going into her jumps look awful.

  7. This is why we need Sandra to counteract Scotty's uberpep. If we cannot have Dick, then I will gladly take Sandra calling out the ugly, bow-legged skating of the eville Commies.
