Once In A Lifetime

This may have been the only time I've ever said (and meant it), "This routine would've been so much better if Geza Poszar choreographed it."

  1. I find it hard to believe that there isn't a great go-to choreographer out there for national team members. Why is artistry so lacking? Is it really the new code of points or something else? Its hard to believe that more coaches don't realize that a very nice choreography can go a long way in such a subjective sport.

  2. I doubt it actually would be any better even with better choreography. She just treats her music like it's something that happens to be playing in the background while she's working out.

  3. Shawn is like the spoiled brat of the gymnastics world. I don't mean this poorly, but she had all this natural talent, didn't have to train as much as other gymnasts (at least for a while, don't tell me she kept to 20 hours a week during 2007 and 2008). It's like she got where she was with very little struggle and true appreciation of what she accomplished. No real attention to detail, no expression or desire to get that little extra out of herself. Yeah, still not a fan.
